You are a likely candidate for constipation if you consume foods which are low in essential vitamins and minerals, drink excessive amounts of coffee or tea but not enough water in a day.
Also, if you are getting along in years, your body goes through a natural slow down in the production of digestive acids and digestive enzymes so diet becomes even more important.
A proper diet and regular exercise can help reduce your chances of constipation.
Of course the most obvious sign of constipation is infrequent and difficult bowel movements but there are other indicators which may not be so obvious such as:
Constipation is often blamed for many diseases because the retention of waste products in your body allows toxins to be absorbed back into your system.
Have you ever eaten an apple and then almost immediately needed to go to the bathroom? This has happened frequently to me so there is no doubt in my mind of the effectiveness of ACV.
What I do is add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to an 8 oz glass of hot water (add honey for taste) and drink it down 3 times a day. The taste isn’t bad but if it doesn’t agree with you, try adding it to apple or grape juice instead of water.
DON'T FORGET to drink lots of water as well as this will assist with the process.
Of course there are other constipation remedies available to you and some of them are quite good.
